Location: Montgomery, Alabama, USA (Hybrid)

Our client is a well-established mid-market manufacturing organization with annual revenues of approximately $60 million , operating as part of a larger international group generating over $12 billion USD in annual revenue globally. The business is entering an exciting phase of growth, operational improvement, and strategic investment, creating an opportunity for an experienced finance leader to join the executive team and help shape the future direction of the organization.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership across the business while serving as a key member of the executive leadership team. The VP of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial planning \& analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow management, compliance, internal controls, and business partnering.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate strategically while also ensuring strong financial discipline and operational excellence within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's overall finance function and financial strategy.
  • Partner with the CEO, leadership team, and global group stakeholders to support business growth and profitability.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
  • Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities.
  • Drive financial analysis to support operational decision-making and strategic investments.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, capital expenditure, and liquidity management.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, audit requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance processes, and risk management practices.
  • Provide financial leadership across manufacturing operations, including inventory, cost accounting, production efficiency, and margin analysis.
  • Lead relationships with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and corporate finance teams.
  • Develop and mentor the finance and accounting team.
  • Support acquisitions, integrations, business transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement programs as required.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  • Previous experience as a VP Finance, Finance Director, Controller, or similar senior finance leadership role.
  • Strong background within manufacturing, industrial, automotive, aerospace, consumer products, or related sectors.
  • Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and operational finance functions.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing financial controls.
  • Experience working within a multi-site or multinational organization preferred.
  • ERP experience required (SAP strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive business performance.

Compensation:

Salary: $175,000 - $200,000 Company Benefits Annual Bonus
