Must have:

- We require an associate degree in engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent work history in a technical support position. - We are looking for at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing support role, ideally within a technical B2B environment. - We need someone who can quickly learn technical products, systems, solutions, their supporting technologies, and real-world applications. - We value strong interpersonal ability, professionalism, and sound business judgment when working with managers and customers at all levels. - We expect a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering responsive service. - We require excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage professionally by phone and through digital channels. - We seek strong collaboration and partnership skills. - We need someone who can take direction from multiple stakeholders and adapt accordingly. - We require the ability to manage several priorities at once while meeting policies, procedures, and deadlines. - We value resourcefulness, confidence, and the ability to troubleshoot problems effectively. - We need strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adjust to changing workloads. - We look for a team-oriented professional with integrity and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:


  • We provide initial post-sales technical assistance for assigned products through phone, email, chat, and remote support tools. - We answer basic questions related to installation, operation, configuration, customization, and product use. - We apply fundamental troubleshooting methods to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and recommend fixes for common problems. - We create and maintain case records, document details, track resolution timing, and follow up on open issues. - We escalate more complex matters when they require additional expertise or support. - We take on other ad hoc duties as needed. - We continually build our knowledge of Federal Signal products and industry trends through ongoing training. - We periodically participate in customer site visits as well as trade shows and industry events.
