Requirements
Must have:
- We require significant experience in IT architecture with a strong focus on data and analytics solutions. - We require proven experience designing and evolving enterprise-scale data platforms. - We require deep expertise in cloud-based data and analytics services on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Databricks and Azure ML. - We require experience shaping proofs of concept and evolving designs into production solutions. - We require strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders. - We require experience leading and developing architecture teams. - We prefer experience working with architecture frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF and Zachman. - We prefer broad knowledge of enterprise data technologies, including lakehouse and medallion architectures, legacy data platforms, and data engineering approaches such as ETL, ELT, and CDC. - We prefer experience working within large, complex, or highly regulated organisations.
Responsibilities:
- We define and govern solution and enterprise architectures for data analytics platforms. - We translate business strategies and requirements into target architectures, solution designs, and technology roadmaps. - We produce architectural artefacts including blueprints, technical options, design patterns, and high-level designs. - We shape architectural decisions across complex initiatives and represent architecture at governance forums. - We lead and develop a team of architects, supporting capability development and delivery. - We engage with senior stakeholders across Technology and the wider Bank. - We promote best practice across the data lifecycle, including data governance, quality, security, and responsible use.

Based in Leeds on a 21-month fixed-term contract, this role offers a salary of up to £81,360, an 8% cash benefits allowance, an annual bonus of up to 25%, and a non-contributory pension.
