Must have:

Responsibilities:


  • We lead scoping, requirements gathering, and prioritisation for high-impact strategic initiatives. - We lead and develop a team of up to 10 Business Analysts, providing clear support and guidance. - We translate business needs into actionable specifications for IT and operational solutions. - We influence senior leadership to support process and organisational transformation. - We build deep understanding of business processes and operating models to identify sustainable improvement opportunities. - We secure stakeholder and customer sign-off for change and IT-related requirements. - We collaborate with stakeholders to create and deliver implementation plans across systems, processes, and behaviours. - We select and apply appropriate business analysis tools, techniques, and methodologies, including predictive and agile approaches. - We define and maintain organisational standards for requirements management. - We use recognised techniques to elicit business needs and resolve conflicting requirements. - We ensure IT solutions deliver maximum value and align with business goals. - We champion innovation and communicate the value of IT across the organisation. - We contribute to IT contingency and security planning in line with business continuity needs. - We maintain relationships with external partners to influence strategic roadmaps and ensure value for money. - We uphold professional standards and corporate values while continuously improving technical solutions. - We drive governance and secure business commitment through formal requirements sign-off. - We define service level agreement specifications where appropriate. - We provide post-implementation support to ensure benefits are realised and sustained. - We maintain high standards of knowledge and capability within the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence. - We lead and inspire the Business Analysis Community of Practice.

We are offering a permanent Lead Business Analyst - Water role within our IT team, supporting the Water E2E programme, our flagship ERP initiative spanning SAP, CRM, GIS, and other integrated systems. This role is based in West Yorkshire with hybrid working, initially from Bradford and moving to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026. We offer a competitive salary of £50,622 to £63,277 depending on experience, an annual incentive bonus, an attractive pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and 2 wellness days, life assurance, and a wide range of additional benefits including health cash plan options, insurance products, retail savings, online GP access, cycle to work, and gym discounts.
