Requirements
Must have:
- We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to meet eligibility standards for a government security investigation and access to sensitive classified information; an active security clearance is strongly preferred. - We expect a bachelors degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent professional training and hands-on experience in systems administration or security operations. - We need deep, practical expertise with Linux, especially Ubuntu, and Windows operating systems. - We require proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python. - We need strong knowledge of networking, including LAN, WAN, routing, firewall administration, and VPN management. - Familiarity with NISP, NISPOM, and NIST compliance requirements, including 800-171 and 800-53A, is highly desirable. - We look for demonstrated capability with cloud tools, desktop applications, database support, and automated deployment or continuous integration pipelines. - We require the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while staying composed and effective. - We expect excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain security procedures and coordinate with distributed leadership. - We value a strong commitment to continuous learning, including the pursuit of new technical skills and security certifications. - We seek a proven history of taking full ownership of IT systems or security processes from planning through delivery with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- We want you to serve as the sole onsite systems administrator and security officer for our Seattle office. - We expect you to design, configure, protect, and maintain secure air-gapped networks and local server environments in compliance with DCSA and NIST standards. - We need you to support, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows and Ubuntu workstations and servers as the primary technical contact onsite. - We want you to manage network routing, firewalls, VPN access, and centralized monitoring, while coordinating with our central sysadmin team. - We expect you to administer local cloud services and on-premise development tools, including Google Workspace, Slack, GitLab, and LDAP user management. - We need you to oversee local personnel and physical security activities in alignment with NISP and NISPOM requirements. - We want you to handle employee background screening coordination, arrange secure visits, and maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records. - We expect you to partner with our Corporate FSO to create, distribute, track, and reinforce mandatory security training. - We need you to conduct regular internal compliance self-inspections and help keep the branch secure and mission-ready. - We expect you to build, secure, and support local Windows and Ubuntu servers and workstations for the Seattle branch. - We want you to assist with updates and configuration control for bare-metal and virtual machines under NIST 800-53A and 800-171 guidance. - We need you to support vulnerability scanning, reporting, and related remediation workflows. - We expect you to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve workflows through scripting and technical problem-solving.
