A major Japanese insurance group with a growing footprint across Southeast Asia is strengthening its Legal \& Compliance function as part of a broader governance transformation.
The Role
- The business is moving toward a more centralized holding company model and is looking for a Japan-qualified lawyer to support M\&A, investments, governance design, and holding structure matters.
- You will act as a core legal partner to the business, manage external counsel, and help bring more legal capability in-house during a key transformation phase.
Your Skills
- Japan-qualified lawyer / Bengoshi qualification is required.
- Strong experience in M\&A, investments, corporate legal, or governance matters is ideal.
- Experience managing external law firms is important.
- Financial services, insurance, regional exposure, and English ability are preferred but flexible depending on profile.
