Requirements
Must have:
- We are looking for a mid-level firewall professional with 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience, including at least 3 years working specifically with Palo Alto Networks firewalls. - We need strong practical knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and ASA firewalls. - We value proficiency in Panorama for centralized firewall administration. - We require a solid grasp of TCP/IP, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, VLANs, and network segmentation. - Experience with VPN solutions, including IPsec, SSL VPN, and GlobalProtect, is important. - Familiarity with core security principles and frameworks such as Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, and least privilege is expected. - Experience using change management workflows and ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira is required. - Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. - A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred. - Professional certifications such as PCNSE, CCNA, or CCNP Security are highly desirable. - Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar is a plus. - Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation is an advantage. - Familiarity with cloud security platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Prisma Access, is beneficial. - Experience in regulated environments such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or SOX is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- We administer, configure, and support Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama management systems. - We design and maintain security policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations for both site-to-site and remote access connectivity. - We monitor firewall health and performance, review logs, and respond promptly to security alerts and incidents. - We carry out firewall upgrades, patches, and content updates while minimizing disruption to operations. - We manage and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment, including routers, switches, and ASA firewalls. - We review firewall rules, perform audits, and clean up outdated or unnecessary entries to maintain an efficient rule base. - We implement and maintain Palo Alto features such as App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, and URL filtering. - We partner with security and network engineering teams to build secure network architectures. - We document configurations, procedures, and system changes in line with change management standards. - We support incident response efforts and contribute to security investigations as needed. - We provide rotational on-call support for urgent network and security issues.
