Requirements
Must have:
- We require the ability to support project planning with data-driven insights. - We require the ability to create transparent weekly senior-management reporting. - We require the ability to interact with key engineering stakeholders to ensure metrics are aligned and correct. - We require the ability to interpret data and determine the key messages that should be shared. - We require the ability to maintain data integrity by monitoring tickets for common errors. - We require the ability to coach other users on best practice for defect tooling, data consistency, and data cleanliness. - We prefer experience with visualisation tools such as Tableau. - We require a degree or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
- We ensure the integrity, consistency, and usability of software and systems defect data across all areas of the business. - We manage defect data created in JIRA and visualised in Tableau. - We bridge the gap between testing engineers, defect resolution engineers, and releasing teams. - We analyse complex datasets and resolve tooling issues. - We prepare high-quality data for decision-making and reporting. - We monitor tickets for common errors to maintain data quality. - We support stakeholder alignment on metrics and reporting. - We coach other users on best practices for defect tooling and data management.

We are an OEM client based in Gaydon and we are seeking a Data Analytics - Software and Systems Defects professional to join our team on a contract basis, inside IR35, with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027. This role offers an umbrella pay rate of £33.64 per hour. We work across engineering and release functions to improve the quality and usability of defect data, supporting informed decision-making and transparent reporting.
