Requirements
Must have:
- We are looking for an experienced Content Designer, UX Writer, Content Strategist, or similar professional. - We need someone with a strong understanding of User-Centred Design and Human-Centred Design principles. - We require experience creating digital learning or enablement content. - We need the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. - We value strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills. - We require knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive content design, including WCAG. - Experience within Higher Education, the Public Sector, or other large complex organisations is highly beneficial. - Desirable experience includes working with Microsoft 365, Copilot, or AI-enabled productivity tools. - Desirable experience includes Higher Education or Teaching \& Learning environments. - Desirable experience includes running user testing sessions and basic prototyping. - We require candidates to provide a latest CV and portfolio or examples of relevant work.
Responsibilities:
- We design and develop user-centred content, guidance, and learning materials. - We create training content including guides, walkthroughs, learning pathways, and scenarios. - We translate complex technical concepts into simple, practical, and accessible content. - We work closely with Human-Centred Design specialists, academic stakeholders, and programme stakeholders. - We support content across multiple channels including workshops, self-service resources, and digital platforms. - We apply accessibility and inclusive design principles throughout our content. - We iterate and improve content based on feedback and user insights.

This is a high-profile digital enablement initiative focused on improving how academic, student, and professional services teams adopt and use AI-powered tools across Teaching and Learning. You will work closely with Human-Centred Design specialists and academic stakeholders to create clear, engaging, and user-focused content that supports adoption, learning, and real-world use of Microsoft Copilot tools. This role is inside IR35 and will require occasional travel to Manchester.
