Requirements
Must have:
- We require a masters degree or higher in educational leadership, special education, applied behavior analysis, or a closely related discipline. - We require a current BCBA credential, or active progress toward obtaining one. - We prefer a current or in-progress educational leadership, school principal, administrator, or similar license. - We prefer a current or in-progress state special education teaching credential. - We require the ability to obtain and maintain company-approved crisis management certification. - We require at least 5 years of experience or strong knowledge in special education services and compliance, especially for students with severe learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, and/or emotional disturbance. - We require at least 3 years of leadership experience, ideally in a special education or behavioral health setting. - We require strong administrative and operational knowledge, including school compliance and management practices. - We require prior experience developing, evaluating, and overseeing curriculum, instructional content, and classroom learning. - We require experience training, coaching, or delivering professional development to teachers and education staff. - We require a solid command of applied behavior analysis, positive behavior supports, classroom management, data-driven decision-making, FBA, and BIP development. - We require the ability to motivate students and lead constructive, goal-focused conversations. - We require excellent relationship-building skills with students, families, staff, and community or business partners. - We require advanced communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - We require proficiency with instructional technology, Microsoft Office, database entry, and basic office equipment. - We look for a servant-leadership mindset with a collaborative, team-centered approach.
Responsibilities:
- We provide direction and leadership to support student achievement and effective site operations. - We supervise staff, create and carry out performance management plans, and identify professional learning needs. - We participate in recruitment and selection to help build a strong site team. - We assess staff development needs and align them with our instructional model. - We recognize accomplishments, address concerns, and help maintain productive day-to-day operations. - We ensure a safe environment for students and staff by supporting site readiness, staffing compliance, and crisis protocols. - We oversee daily school operations, including schedules, activities, custodial and maintenance services, food service, transportation, administration, budgeting, resource allocation, and district/community relationships. - We manage enrollment from referral through the students final day of attendance, including placement, tours, roster management, and transition planning. - We instruct, monitor, and evaluate the use of learning materials and resources to support instructional fidelity and student progress. - We conduct Functional Behavior Assessments to understand the causes and purposes of challenging behavior. - We design and implement Behavior Intervention Plans aligned with our standards and each students needs. - We support measurable IEP goal development and progress monitoring with education staff. - We implement evidence-based behavioral and educational interventions to promote academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning. - We provide crisis intervention and behavioral support for students with aggressive or self-injurious behavior. - We ensure compliance with Department of Education rules and our internal service standards. - We maintain accurate records for assessments, interventions, progress tracking, and compliance documentation. - We participate in accreditation and assurance activities to help the site meet required performance goals. - We stay current on research-based practices, professional development, and organization-wide initiatives. - We give, request, and respond to feedback in a constructive manner. - We collaborate closely with the site team, field support, and national support teams in service of our organization.
