Requirements
Must have:
- We need hands-on experience with PowerShell or Python, plus working knowledge of SQL for queries, views, and basic ETL. - We require familiarity with YAML, JSON, and Jinja for workflow definitions, payloads, and templating. - We need proven RMM expertise, including monitor and policy design as well as remediation scripting in a leading RMM platform such as ConnectWise Automate, NinjaOne, Datto RMM, or N-able. - We require experience with RESTful API integrations, including authentication flows, pagination, and webhooks; Microsoft Graph knowledge is a plus. - We need direct, production-level Rewst workflow experience, including debugging, logging, and version control. - We require Power BI skills, including data modeling, DAX, and publishing secure dashboards and reports for operations and stakeholders. - We need a strong understanding of MSP fundamentals, including ticketing and PSA processes, SLAs, change control, and documentation. - We prefer candidates with experience in IT services or MSP environments, especially with NOC exposure. - We value familiarity with tools and platforms such as ConnectWise Manage/Automate, Rewst, Cisco Umbrella, Duo, SentinelOne, and backup solutions like Veeam, Datto, or Slide. - We prefer experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration, Microsoft Graph permissions, and service health telemetry. - We value exposure to unit testing for scripts and workflows, CI/CD practices for automation assets, and secure secrets management.
Responsibilities:
- We design, implement, and maintain monitors, policies, and remediation scripts within our RMM platform. - We ensure alert accuracy, auto-ticketing, and SLA compliance through well-tuned monitoring and automation. - We build and refine Rewst workflows using YAML, JSON, and Jinja, integrating with PSA/RMM platforms and external systems through REST and Graph APIs. - We enforce strong input validation, error handling, and idempotent workflow behavior. - We write maintainable PowerShell and Python utilities, along with SQL queries, to support configuration, ETL, reporting, and bulk operations. - We package, version, and document automation scripts, including runbooks and rollback procedures. - We operate backup and disaster recovery monitoring to checklist standards, creating alerts and auto-ticketing for failures, warnings, and extended job runs. - We collaborate with service owners to remediate backup and recovery issues. - We connect our RMM, PSA, and security tools with vendor APIs and design secure, repeatable integrations. - We build Power BI dashboards and data models that show service performance, uptime, SLA trends, ticket flow, and automation impact. - We participate in NOC boards, daily stand-ups, and weekly operations reviews, while tracking KPIs and improving processes. - We create clear SOPs and runbooks that align with our internal standards and operational playbooks.

The position is based in Syracuse, NY, with a hybrid setup at our Syracuse HQ and remote options available depending on the role.
